After Hours On Call Home Care Scheduler

If you thrive providing outstanding care to older adults, and enjoy teaching others to do the same, Touching Hearts at Home Dayton wants to talk with you about filling a critical leadership role within our office support team. Competency in delivering hands-on care to individuals with complex needs such as memory care, bed bound care, and hoyer transfers will need to be demonstrated during the first thirty days of training for the position - we provide training to hone your skills An associates degree or higher and/or an STNA or MA certificate is desirable, although care experience and knowledge is equally valued. The position is part of a team of ten individuals responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of our care team and clients.
The position is based in our Kettering office and is NOT REMOTE. The After Hours On Call Scheduler supports our care team and clients on the phone, by text, by email, and in person in our clients' homes as needed. Responsibilities include monitoring on time arrival of our care team to scheduled shifts, providing "on demand" and as needed scheduling, working open shifts with clients when shortages arise, and providing training & supervisory visits to our clients' homes. A willingness and eagerness to provide hands on care when needed is required, and expertise in hands on care will be critical. Some weeks could be as much as 100% of scheduled time working with clients. Providing outstanding care to our clients is always the top priority.
The ability to thrive working at a fast pace in a high pressure environment is key to success in the position. The needed schedule includes evenings and weekends and can be either full-time with a work schedule of every weekend or part-time with a work schedule of evenings only. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required. Scheduled hours can be any combination of 5pm-10pm weekday evenings and/or weekend hours at our Kettering office with the requirement to be available until 7am for overnight coverage when needed. Full time is five nights a week and pays a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Part time is three nights a week and pays a guaranteed 24 hours per week.
