POSITION SUMMARY

Prepares, analyzes, and reports laboratory tests in the clinical laboratory, including chemistry and hematology. Other duties performed include, but not limited to, dispensing blood products and preparing specimens for transport to the main laboratory.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

B.S. in Science or Associates in Science.

Minimum Experience

None

Required Registration/License/Certification

Completion of Nationally Accredited Clinical Laboratory Science Program within one month of hire. Holds MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or MT (AMT), or obtains within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Education

B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science

Preferred Experience

1-3 years of laboratory experience.
