We are looking for a Laboratory Technician I in Jerome, ID. The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for supporting production by analyzing a variety of samples using different test methods; performing microbiological and physical tests on raw material, in-process products and finished products. Daily tasks include the receipt of samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples, observing for abnormal reactions, documenting, reviewing, and reporting of results, and cleaning and stocking the work area. The Laboratory Technician II is also responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment as well as performing routine quality control checks.
Starting pay $20.01 $1.50 shift premium for night shift Double-time on Sunday’s Perform chemistry, physical, and/or microbiology sample preparation and testing. Responsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and minor maintenance. Interpret, analyze and report laboratory data. Accurately enter all required data into log books, spreadsheets and the ERP system as appropriate.What you need:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience with both metric and standard systems of measurement required.Where you’ll be working:
Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
