We are seeking an  Insurance Collections  Supervisor  who will manage Authorization and Collections staff with the intent to recruit, train, assign work, manage & evaluate performance, and progressive disciplinary actions while ensuring they are appropriately documented in the employee’s HR record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Acts as the subject matter expert for all processes related to insurance benefits verification, payer contracts, fee estimation, and authorization of services Creates a work environment for staff through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example, and goal setting that encourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues, professional growth, and a consistently high level of performance Hires, orients, supervises and evaluates authorization staff; initiates and implements disciplinary action as needed  Identifies opportunities for process improvements and develops and implements resulting process changes Effective communications with all stakeholders across the organization regarding performance, issues, and/or updates for the department Ability to understand the coordination of benefits, including in-depth comprehension of in/out of network benefits and how they relate to co-insurance and deductible Establishes productivity and goals with staff; provides statistical and performance feedback regularly to each team member Develop and conduct education/training sessions. Develops, creates, and disseminates reports to effectively manage and continuously improve the department Maintains the strictest confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and company guidelines and regulations Adheres to company policies and procedures Performs other related duties and works on special projects as requested by senior management

Full-Time Monday – Friday REMOTE: AL/FL/GA

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervises Authorization and Collections staff with the intent to recruit, train, assign work, manage & evaluate performance, and progressive disciplinary actions while ensuring appropriately documented in the employee’s HR record.

Education & Experience

College degree or High School Diploma with equivalent work experience  Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience, including revenue cycle functions, insurance verification, coordination of benefits and authorizations, and/or dermatology knowledge  Leadership/supervisory experience required  Proficient in the use of ICD-10 and CPT codes, fee schedule reimbursement methodology, and regulatory requirements  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  Must be able to meet deadlines and support others driving to metrics and goals Work Environment/Physical Demands  This position operates in a business office setting. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.  Prolonged sitting and working on a computer.  Available and flexible in scheduling and travel to meet the changing business requirements of the position
