The Lung Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join their team, providing support in both front and back-office operations. The Medical Assistant will directly support one of our top physicians, playing a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient administrative processes, and facilitating smooth clinic operations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle both clinical and administrative tasks effectively.

Travel Required: Monday and Tuesday at Reisterstown Personal Physicians and Wednesday- Friday at Glen Burnie Personal Physicans 


Responsibilities

Front Office duties include, but are not limited to: Patient registration, updating existing patient information, and verifying insurance coverage accurately. Answering phones, scheduling appointments and other procedures, coordinating with patients and other healthcare professionals as necessary. Back Office duties include, but are not limited to: Rooming the patient including taking vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and other pertinent information Documenting medical histories, procedures, and treatments accurately Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring adequate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED Medical office experience preferred EPIC experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in challenging situations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
