BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated ETL Developer role in Remote



Position Title: ETL Developer

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: Tentative start Date 10/07/2024

Expected Duration: 10+ Months Contract with high possibilities for extension

Job Type: Contract: 40hr/ week

Pay Range: $41.81/hr - $44.51/hr on W2
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

As part of the Data Warehouse team, the ETL Developer will be primarily responsible for

activities related to the development of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) data pipelines pertaining

to Medicaid data domains to include provider, member, claim, prior authorization, reference

data, etc. This team member will interact with internal Gainwell teams, client teams, and will

work with large data sets on the Databricks platform

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experience with ETL/ELT development and associated tools, preferably Databricks
• Demonstrated experience with writing SQL, JSON, Python, and YAML scripts
• Demonstrated experience with Data Profiling, Data Analysis, Data Ingestion, Data
• Transformation, and Data Validation & Cleaning.
• Experience in unit-testing data ingestion, loading, and transformation processes
• Experience with Data Governance, Database Design, Data Modelling and Source to Target
• Mapping
• Experience with version control systems, continuous integration and deployment, and
• cloud-computing infrastructures (AWS)

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or more in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience with data warehousing and/or large and complex database

• management systems

• Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills
• Experience using ETL/ELT tools and doing ETL/ELT development
• Experience with using Github for CI/CD software development
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with client-centric consulting skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively with other team members
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability and experience to investigate complex business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and/or present solutions, and resolve problems in a highly professional and tactful manner.
