Works with all phasesof plant operations problemsolving electrical integration draftingusing AutoCAD and providing engineering support and projectmanagement to manufacturing departments. The position reportsdirectly to the Technical SupportManager.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Offer shop floor and projectsupport to manufacturing departments ensuring adherence to qualitysafety and efficiencyobjectives.
  • Provide assistance acrossvarious manufacturing areas asrequired.
  • Facilitate directcommunication with QA Purchasing and Accountingdepartments.
  • Set tolerances and machinespecifications in productionareas.
  • Apply knowledge of emergingtechnology trends to enhance existing manufacturingequipment.
  • Implement Lean Principles tooptimize equipment and production systems(VMM).

SecondaryResponsibilities:

  • Working with budgeting ofcapital and expense dollars for shop floor support and assistingwith meeting department goals andinitiatives.
  • Assist in coordinatingmaintenance functions on project work.
  • Maintain product routings inSAP. This would include allocations of part numbers material usagewaste andlabor.

Your Experience andEducation:

  • Bachelors degree inEngineering.
  • Preferred: Three years oftechnical experience in mechanical/electrical work on amanufacturing shopfloor.
  • Required: Experience withAutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Preferred: Experience withSAP integratedsoftware.
  • Proficient computer skillsespecially in Excel Microsoft Windows PowerPoint and LotusNotes.
  • Required: Ability to read andinterpret product drawings andspecifications.
  • Required: Knowledge of thelatest technology trends for equipmentimprovement.
  • Current knowledge of AllenBradley software (ControlLogix SLC 500); some programming/designand troubleshooting experiencepreferred.
  • Experience in industrialelectronics andmechanics.
  • Hydraulic experience is aplus.
  • Ability to manage multipleprojects and create detailed actionplans.
  • Beneficial: Experience withexpense/capitalbudgets.
  • Strong organizational skillsin planning and executingprojects.
  • Effective oral and writtencommunicationskills.
  • High degree of loyalty andpersonalintegrity.
  • Ability to work in a teamenvironment with employees at alllevels.
  • Ability to perform essentialjobfunctions.
  • Compliance with all companyrules safety regulations andpolicies.
