As a Blade and Shaft Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Work safely and follow all EHS policies and guidelines Perform all tasks/activities required to successfully maintain established Shaft and Blade Maintenance Program Effectively communicate all issues to Operators, Supervisor, Working Leads, Engineering and Maintenance Maintain the necessary spare parts to ensure prompt availability Utilize computers to do data entry and track inventory of components Safely clean and assemble blade setup components and rewind shafts parts according to established standards/instructions Monitor unwind shaft conditions and coordinate with Maintenance dept to ensure prompt repairs Evaluate methods for reducing downtime related to blade/shaft set up and installation Maintain housekeeping at work areas according to established standards Ensure 100% compliance to hazardous waste handling requirements May be required to assist with training of co-workers on an as-needed basis Perform any miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving

Your Skills and Expertise
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

General knowledge involving set-up and operation of slitter machines Moderate technical understanding of slitting and rewind methods Knowledge of functionality of each component on the rewind and slitting assembly

Onsite – Rockland, Massachusetts
