The Occupational Health Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to company employees as well as administrative and clerical duties. These duties include but are not limited to completing components of pre-placement and medical surveillance exams, drug and alcohol testing, occupational injury/illness care, disability medical case management, health promotion, health hazard management in line with Phillips 66 Control Framework and the Phillips 66 worker health protection strategy. Collaborate with other P66 providers or departments to support the mission and strategic plans of Phillips 66. 

Responsibilities May Include: 

Perform the nursing component of Medical Surveillance exams for Wood River Refinery employees including vitals, vision, audiograms, spirometry, and collection of blood and urine specimens  Provide nursing care to employees with work-related injuries and employees presenting to Health Services for minor, acute health issues, which may include the following tasks: nursing assessments, vital signs, dispensing over-the-counter medications stocked in the clinic, performing injections, immunizations, patient education and medication reconciliation Emergency Response  Support travel health  Participate in On-Call services  Actively contribute to the delivery and implementation of employee wellbeing programs  Case management of medical absences consisting of the review of Employee Health Reports, communication with employees, supervision, Human Resources, health care providers and documenting this information in the occupational health software program  Follow Phillips 66 Health Services Protocols while working under the direction of Occupational Health Mid-Level Practitioner or Physician  Provide medical and administrative support to peers, staff, and company stakeholders  Provide support to other local and regional business under the scope of Phillips 66 Health Services  Performing company and governmental mandated drug and alcohol testing 


Required Qualifications: 

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country  Associate's degree or higher  Current Registered Nursing license and in good standing with the Illinois Nursing Board  2 or more years of experience in clinical nursing  Flexible work availability (this could pertain both to the days of the week worked and/or the number of hours worked on a given day)  Basic Computer Skills  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification  Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task  Cope with occasionally high levels of work in a fast-paced dynamic environment & deliver results  Good interpersonal skills  Fluent in English  Ability to effectively work in multidisciplinary teams 


Preferred Qualifications: 

3 or more years of experience in occupational health nursing Certifications in audiometric testing (CAOHC approved), spirometry testing, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Breath Alcohol Technician, and DOT urine collection  Prior case management experience including a thorough understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)  Knowledge and experience with regulations affecting Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety Ability to work well with employees and job candidates in potentially difficult and sensitive situations  Critical thinking skills

The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
