Job Responsibilities:

As an Upholsterer at The Restoration Station, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Upholstery Work:
  • Perform upholstery work on a variety of furniture pieces, including chairs, sofas, and custom-made cabinetry.
  • Fabric Selection and Cutting:
  • Select appropriate fabrics based on design specifications and customer preferences.
  • Cut and shape fabrics to fit furniture pieces accurately.
  • Foam Padding and Springs:
  • Install and shape foam padding to achieve desired comfort and appearance.
  • Work with springs and other support structures to ensure durability and longevity.
  • Repair and Restoration:
  • Assess and repair damaged upholstery on existing furniture pieces.
  • Restore antique or vintage furniture to its original or improved condition.
  • Collaboration with Design Team:
  • Work closely with our design team to understand client requirements and design concepts.
  • Provide input on fabric choices, color schemes, and finishing details.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as an Upholsterer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of upholstery projects.
  • Proficiency in working with various fabrics, materials, and tools related to upholstery.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
