The basics of this position:

The IT student worker will provide technical and network problem resolution to end-users (customers) by performing a question diagnosis while guiding users through step-by-step solutions. The position requires providing direct technical customer support via telephone, chat, email, remote tools, or in person. Including, but are not limited to, resolving authentication problems, basic software support, verifying proper hardware and software set-up, power cycling, navigating college applications, print related issues, and troubleshooting email issues. Support will be provided in a user-friendly, professional manner.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; ability to communicate effectively in a tactful and courteous manner with a variety of people, including students, employees, faculty, and the general public; ability to manage interpersonal conflict situations requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be a student enrolled in at least 6 for-credit hours per semester with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
