Rehab Technician

Position Summary:
The Rehab Technician is responsible for provision and administration of specific therapeutic treatments under the direct supervision of licensed staff, in the Rehabilitation Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments. Assists with restoration of patient functioning and/or condition to prevent disability or physical decline. Performs clerical duties, scheduling of patients, and posting of charges.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Administers specific treatment/modalities under the direct supervision of the licensed staff and exercise physiologist; in accordance with professional standards of care and practice based on the patient’s disability, age and psychosocial needs.
• Performs clerical/receptionist duties as assigned.
• Passes required competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Exhibits professional communication skills.
• Provides patient instruction based on the patient’s disability, age and psychosocial needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Computer skills including keyboarding and data entry, excellent customer service skills and operating basic office equipment required.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Vocational training preferred.
Experience:
None required. Previous medical office experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
None required.
