EquipmentShare is Hiring a Structural Engineer.

We're expanding our team at EquipmentShare We're currently searching for a Structural Engineer to help us manage nationwide expansion efforts and support the Architecture team on corporate projects. Preference will be given to candidates in Kansas City, Columbia, MO (HQ), St. Louis, MO, and surrounding areas. While the position is primarily remote, intermittent travel to our corporate office in Columbia, MO will be required.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure Corporate & Branch facilities uphold the EquipmentShare design and engineering standardsExecute multiple projects under various deadlinesAid the Architecture team in ensuring building environments are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe – knowledge of structural building codes is requiredParticipate in occasional site visits to: Analyze existing structural systemsEnsure construction compliance with documents and specifications Read, interpret, and explain complex technical documents to peers and leadersUtilize Revit software to create structural design and construction detailsUtilize structural design and analysis softwareWork with outside consultants in the form of client representation or liaison roleMaintain current knowledge of trends, materials, structural techniques and other developments in structural engineering – demonstrate a passion for continuous learningPerform other related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications 

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structural Emphasis. Degree from ABET accredited program is requiredAt least 5-8 years experience preferred  is requiredAble to work with a high degree of independence and be able to take the lead on initiatives with limited supervision is a mustProject experience spanning commercial, industrial (PEMB), and residential sectorsExperience designing in steel, light gauge, concrete, masonry, and woodExperience with new construction and renovation projectsAbility to apply, adapt, and manage execution of structural standardsDemonstrated project management skills for multiple concurrent projectsDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skillsDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated time management skillsProficiency in the following software: Revit, AutoCADBluebeamStructural design & analysis software (RISA, SAP2000, Enercalc, etc.)Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office Suite
