Job Details:

Location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland Duration: 4 months to 1 year, chance to go perm Full-time: 40 hours a week (8:30am - 4:30pm M-F) Start Date: April 2024 (ASAP)

Ideal Candidate

Experience with civil law and litigation Ability to work with individuals on civil legal matters, including landlord-tenant, family law, consumer, child support, criminal record expungements, employment, and child custody. Providing legal advice on the civil legal matters noted above Drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for trial, taking and/or defending depositions, completing court forms, filings, and other documents Legal research and writing This position will involve direct representation of individual clients and the attorney should enjoy people and a public-facing role

Requirements:

Must be actively licensed to practice law in the USA. Capability to work remotely with a larger team. Able to commute to office location.

The hourly range for this position is approximately $30 to $40 per hour. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role. This role has potential to turn into a permanent position.
