Job Summary
The faculty of the Department of History at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invite applications for a 9-month, , tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Colonial or Early Republic US History to begin August 16, .Candidates must have a PhD by the time of appointment. Evidence of a well-defined research and teaching agenda as well as a strong scholarly record are required. The position has a 2:2 teaching load consisting of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses and graduate level courses in the applicants areas of interest. Research field is open.Opportunities for interdisciplinary connections are excellent and include the Department of Women and Gender Studies, the Institute for Southern Studies, and the South Caroliniana Library, among others.
