Associate Vice President, Higher Education Sales

Remote US

The Talent Search Group at PiP is seeking an Associate Vice President, Higher Education Data and Tech Services Sales, on behalf of our client, an industry-leading professional products and services company offering domain expertise in teaching and learning solutions. 

The AVP will lead efforts in fostering growth and has a record of success in selling data and technology services within Higher Ed institutions. The ideal AVP is able to leverage existing industry relations and has deep understanding of the Higher Ed challenges and potential to penetrate new markets, maximizing revenue, and establishing strong business relationships. 

Essential Functions 

Identify, engage, and solidify President/Provost/C-level relationships Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within higher education to understand their needs and priorities. Leverage expertise in selling Data Warehouse, Data Governance, Data Modeling, and Data Security services to address challenges in marketing, enrollment, and student success. Negotiate new contracts to maximize growth and term length within the account.  Create a pipeline of opportunities and direct pre-sales/bid teams to craft winning bids. 

Qualifications 

10+ years of experience selling data and technology solutions to Higher Education institutions. Verifiable track record of generating $10+ million in annual new sales. In-depth knowledge of education technology trends and the competitive landscape.  Experience preparing and delivering formal executive business reviews to senior-level executives (AVP/VP/C-level executives).  Excellent hunting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, influential negotiation, and problem-solving skills. 

Remote: Eastern US preferred

Travel required (up to 50%)
