Job Description

Overview:

The Chargeback Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving chargebacks and disputes related to credit
card transactions. This role requires a thorough understanding of credit card networks, chargeback regulations,
and compliance requirements..

Essential Job Duties:

Investigates potential charge backs, prepares and submits documentation to the financial
institutions. Updates and maintains accurate record of all chargeback cases in the company
database and department spreadsheets. Responsible for collections on lost chargebacks
directly with customers. Investigates potential fraud credit card orders pending in the Loss Prevention and Potential
Fraud queues. Prepares the information for review and approval by the manager before the
order is released. Investigates potential fraud IP addresses, email domains or source codes to identify fraud
patterns. Works closely with Order Corrections and Customer Care to determine if new orders
can ship when linked to previous dispute activity. Develops, refines and maintains chargeback procedures, ensuring compliance with evolving
regulations and standards set by card networks and financial institutions. Develops and
maintains department spreadsheets.

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

2 years working either in credit department, collection agency or banking. Credit card, loss prevention and 3 years chargeback experience. Experience in customer service and working with the public. Excel experience is a must. PC Experience, Windows, Word, Teams, good keyboarding skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, bank personnel and all levels of management Must have knowledge of credit laws and experience in chargeback collection. Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision to meet chargeback and shipping deadlines. Ability to develop spreadsheets.
