PRIMARY PURPOSE : To inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimating software.Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.Prepares estimates using estimating software.Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.Additional Job DescriptionGreeting Customer and Explaining the Scan Estimating and Repair ProcessTriage vehicle (Photo's Upload, Damage Part, Related Paint Damage and Prior DamageManually inspect vehicles that do not qualify for ScanningAssist Tech Scanner with Vehicle Scanning (Drive vehicle into scanner and return vehicle to customer)Soft sell repair process and explain the program benefitsOff-season requirement support local appraiser coverage, desk review and quality assurance teamADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned. Travel up to 75% as required.QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required. Licenses as required by state guidelines.
Experience
Three (3) years of related experience to include at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of automobilesAbility to understand and utilize appraisal softwarePC literate, including Microsoft Office productsStrong organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent negotiating skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to meet or exceed Performance CompetenciesWORK ENVIRONMENT
