The Cypress is recruiting for a hospitality focused Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our Health Center team Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the ADON we need you to have: Functions in the capacity of Director of Nursing (DON) in her/his absence, will step in to complete duties as assigned and maintains the nursing department standards of best practices. Participates and assists in the overall supervision of nursing care and ensuring a safe, clean environment in The Stewart Health Center. Participates and assists with employee-related concerns, counseling, performance reviews, investigations, disciplinary actions and/or terminations as needed. Monitors policies, procedures, and work performance standards ensuring they meet federal, state and local regulations.  Coordinates, participates and leads with orientation of nursing personnel to the Stewart Health Center clinical programs and maintain ongoing audits of competency in nursing skills and documentation as such. Performs and administers direct nursing care including medication and treatment administration, venipuncture, and other care-related tasks as necessary. Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment. Audits accuracy and completeness of medical records. Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans and conference in the absence of the MDS nurse. Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of North Carolina with no findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of resident property.  Current CPR and BLS certification.  Staff Development, Infection Control, and Quality Improvement experience with a good understanding of long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled and restorative nursing.  Three to five years of supervisory experience preferred.
