Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM.
The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant.
He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required.
In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer.
The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills.
In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Expertly check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or replace fluids or filters/parts as required
  • Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
  • Perform routine service inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate chassis, and other major components
  • Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed
  • Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
