JOB SUMMARY:

The role of retail warehouse clerk focuses on executing store shipping, receiving and reverse logistics functions.

ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the

Receives vendor and internal shipments according to department policy and procedure  Tags, organizes, evaluates and or ships product quality returns according to policies and procedures Processes and tracks mail-outs, inventory transfers, vendor or quality returns in a timely and accurate fashion Uses effective internal and external communication Provides warehouse support, stocking or inventory functions as required Follows loss prevention and safety procedures as directed by management Assumes responsibility for other functions as requested such as recycling, trash removal or simple maintenance tasks Assists with display, sale preparation and or damages as requested Notifies Manager and/or Security of all unusual events or circumstances, missing items, alleged thefts and safety hazards Performs other job related duties as assigned Exemplifies our core values, family style service, our mission and vision.  Exemplifies our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture.  Perform other job related duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Manage multiple tasks Attention to detail Organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail with little or no supervision Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms. Minimum high school level writing and spelling skills Ability to safely operate power material handling equipment as necessary Basic computer skills which include the ability to create and save text documents and to create and send emails Ability to provide excellent customer service, observation skills  High School diploma or equivalent. Good working knowledge of computer software to include MS Word, Excel. General Office Experience Preferred.  At least 2 years previous experience working in an inventory control capacity Certificate/License: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONEMENT  May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). 

Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded. Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range  Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity  Work area is subject to variable temperatures. May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise.

GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS : Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills.
