As an Instructional Aide, youll play a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing personalized assistance to students with special needs, helping them succeed both academically and socially.

$17.00 or more per hour starting pay based on experience. PLUS $ bonus stipends available each semester for those working in special education classrooms. Health, dental, vision, prescription drug, life, and accidental death/dismemberment insurance. Additional optional insurance benefits available. Paid sick days, personal days, and 9 paid holidays; sick/personal leave bonus. Paid time off for inclement weather school cancellations. Retirement plan provided by the Michigan Public School Employees Plan. Opportunities for advancement. Full-time school year position; summers off.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or two years post-secondary education in a related teaching/special education field of study a bonus. Experience working with individuals with special needs helpful. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others. Flexibility to work with a team to assist students inside or outside of the classroom and may include supporting as a bus aide. Excellent organization and communication skills.
