Hybrid: 2 days on-site
Salary: $123-$133K, target bonus: 15%

Position Summary: Support current and future implementations of the Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframes and related system hardware and software with a goal of maintaining maximum performance and reliability in the clients mainframe environment.
Qualifications required:

Bachelors degree in computer science, or a combination of equivalent education and experience in systems configuration, programming, and integration Knowledge of systems programming concepts such as table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, database organization and disk I/O Experience in Libra 6590 mainframe hardware installation and configuration including: OPS console System Editor OC Manager EMC storage switch configuration Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications desired : Knowledge of Unisys MCP mainframe operating environment and utilities including: DMSII,COMS, CCF, Security Center, System Assistant, NX/Services, OLEDB, Secure-Transport, Simple Install, Log Analyzer, CANDE / WFL, Programmers Work Bench, MCP based disk mirroring, Unisys pay for use model and MIPS tracking Experience filing support requests with Unisys support and providing supporting files such as system and program dumps Ability to retrieve and interpret program dumps Extensive knowledge of the use of LOGANALYZER utility and the various log entries found in the SUMLOG Knowledge of Unisys software compilation and patching processes including: Obtaining and installing Interim Corrections for MCP Obtaining and installing Interim Corrections for system software Compiling system software with local patches Knowledge of Unisys ClearPath Software Series VM based systems Unisys networking concepts including: TCPIP routing and addressing Libra 6590 network host initialization files NX/NET as used in Libra 6590 environment Win RPC Mainframe Storage and SAN setup configuration skills (EMC storage arrays and Cisco SAN switching) Basic knowledge of the integration of the Microsoft Windows server, Linux server and Unisys mainframe environments Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs highly technical system configuration and programming. Install and configure mainframe systems and related devices for network and storage system connectivity Coordinate maintenance activities with other Operations and Technology teams, users, and product stakeholders Serves as an internal consultant to application development staff for information on components of the operating system including file management routines, system performance analysis and software enhancements Develops utility software to perform systems or applications related automation tasks Additional functions and responsibilities: Provide support of Unisys provided desktop and server software ( Programmers Workbench, Logon Agent, Security Center, Enterprise Output Manager, etc.)
