Description:
The Maintenance & Reliability Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is tasked with managing maintenance, outage planning, and reliability staff. This role provides leadership and responsibility for safe and cost-effective execution of preventative, day-to-day, and outage maintenance activities for a large hazardous waste incineration facility. They ensure maximum plant availability through the implementation and use of reliability principles and optimal asset management. Some of this role’s primary duties are to manage turnaround activities (planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, procurement, & execution at facility in the most cost-effective manner); Manage multi-skilled maintenance team & subcontractors; Work with the Operations management team to ensure safe work practices, technical verification of work, & system integrity during the daily operations of the facility; Prepare action & backup plans during equipment failures & plant shutdowns to minimize financial impacts; & Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering OR related discipline preferred 10+ years hazardous waste industry or large utility/industrial plant experience highly preferred Must have prior work experience in high reliability environments/plant operations/OR related field Extensive knowledge in mechanical methodologies, data compilation, implementation & evaluation of resulting improvements Proficient knowledge in scheduling tools such as Oracle Primavera P-6 or similar Solid understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques, including Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program Budgeting skills and solid understanding of financial (cost/benefit) analysis Solid understanding of the troubleshooting/maintenance of equipment common to large industrial facilities Must have skills such as Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis Excellent leadership/communication skills w/ ability to organize & manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must be organized, detailed oriented, analytical, proactive, energetic, problem solver
