Posting Summary

The Rutgers University PA Program is seeking an adjunct instructor to provide primary care-focused pharmacy curriculum for pre-clinical PA students. The curriculum is part of a systems-based, modular course framework; generally, classes meet weekly in-person on Tuesday mornings for three hours, from August through February.

Duties and Responsibilities: Update and revise course syllabi, outcomes, and learning objectives. Develop, revise and deliver effective lectures and case studies, based on lecture objectives, course learning outcomes, and program competencies. Create exam questions and develop assessments in ExamSoft, a digital assessment platform. Meet with students for exam review, counselling, and advising. Coordinate with the Director of Didactic Education, Pharmacy Coordinator, and modular course directors to ensure cohesion of the pharmacy curriculum with the rest of the modular curriculum Participate in the development of the Course Director Annual Analysis and Action Plan (CDAAAP) Position Status Per Diem Posting Number 24FA0046 Posting Open Date Posting Close Date Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Teaching experience in the subject matter Formal educational preparation in subject matter Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching assigned subjects Ability to work and communicate effectively with a team Current licensure (or eligible) by NJ Board of Pharmacy Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Overview Statement The Rutgers Physician Assistant Program enhances the delivery of humanistic patient care and advances the PA profession through a dynamic blend of educational programs, research, and service.
