Welder Fabricator

Job Summary: Responsible for assembling and constructing metal products by cutting, bending, and welding materials according to specifications. Should be highly skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, as well as experienced in handling a variety of metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with safety standards. Uses potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. Unloads, receives, transports, and stores materials and supplies for the shop. Collaborates with team members to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.

Job Duties:

• Review technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the requirements for metal fabrication projects.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
• Weld or join metal components together using various techniques and methods including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding and in various positions (vertical, horizontal, and overhead)
• Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring that the final product is accurate, functional, and meets the required specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Regularly maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery used in the shop.
• Continuously develop knowledge of industry trends and advancements in metal fabrication techniques.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as fabricator
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use PPE
• Precision and attention to detail
• Layout, fit, tack, weld, and grind fabrications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Welding Certs preferred

Work Environment:

• Capable of lifting heavy objects
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Capacity to work in close quarters and confined spaces

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in fabrication

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
