Mathematics Teacher

Kent Place School is seeking a mathematics teacher to inspire upper school girls to develop their interests in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. We seek individuals who enjoy collaboration with colleagues, demonstrate the personal initiative to innovate in their teaching practice, demonstrate commitment to DEIB work within classroom practice and curricular development, and who are interested in growing as a teacher and teacher-leader. Candidates should have a keen interest in using math to investigate and answer interdisciplinary questions in both the natural and social sciences. The candidate would join a math department committed to lesson study and the use of assessment to develop girls' love of learning, confidence, and mathematical proficiency.

Responsibilities will also include advising a group of students, facilitating upper school activities, and participating in community events. Candidates with teaching experience in higher levels of mathematics (AP Calculus, Multivariable Calculus) will be prioritized, experience in teaching Number Theory and/or Python a plus. Master's degree in a related academic field or in Teaching, and the ability to teach different math courses are desired. Please submit a cover letter and resume to apply.
