Responsibilities:
- Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocols.
- Foster a positive safety culture within the team.
- Attend safety meetings as required, at varying frequencies.
- Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices.
- Facilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processes.
- Conduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talks.
- Generate reports as needed by the job site.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety oversight experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of Construction Safety Standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in diverse construction and safety practices.
- Preferably experienced in ground-up construction safety oversight.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate with teams across all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
- Minimum requirement of CHST Certification. ASP or CSP Certification preferred.
- Degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
