The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Assistant Recruiter, CAMP on the Gainesville campus. Under the supervision of the CAMP Assistant Director, the PT Assistant Recruiter for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) will assist program staff to do program outreach, identify, recruit, and enroll potential participants to reach recruitment goals for CAMP. CAMP is a federally funded program designed to support students from migrant and seasonal farm-worker backgrounds during their first year in college and beyond. The CAMP program provides students with financial assistance and support services to prepare them to continue their post-secondary education. The Assistant Recruiter will travel as needed to local high schools and other areas to reach assigned recruitment goals and create positive relationship with potential participants. The Assistant Recruiter will be expected to work a flexible schedule depending on students and program¿s needs. Position re-appointment is contingent upon reaching assigned goals, successfully meeting all job responsibilities and the continuation of the federal funds. Must be flexible. May work on some weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

Assist in promoting the program through outreach, community events and social media. Make phone calls and respond to various types of correspondence from potential participants. Travel to various locations including local high schools and agricultural-related venues to promote the program and identify potential participants. Assist in the implementation of student enrollment plans. Collaborates with CAMP staff to ensure enrollment records are in compliance and support new student orientations. Participate in project activities. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilties

Must have strong computer/technology, social media, and Microsoft Office skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  A strong background as a team player. Ability to meet deadlines, follow through, and manage fluctuating workloads.  Ability to implement recruitment plans. Ability to be organized, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize duties.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required. Valid Georgia Driver's License and reliable vehicle. Bilingual in Spanish and English required.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree is preferred. Minimum of 1-2 year of experience working in an office setting preferred; preferably in higher education.  Knowledge and experience working with underrepresented populations is a plus.
