General Role Description: It is time to take your career to the next level. Primary Responsibilities:

Delivers high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examination, treatment, monitoring, and preparation for diagnostic tests or proceduresCollects and documents patient information, including vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies, health risk screen information, the status of extended care benefits, and other servicesAssists physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures as directedCoordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policiesAssists with tasks, phone calls, and messages; documents all actions takenCompletes proper and concise EMR documentation and paper-based documentation for all assessments and proceduresPrepares and cleans patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to protocol while maintaining infection control

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Assistant programBasic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain by date of hireMedical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

Phlebotomy certificationElectronic Medical Records (EMR) experienceBilingual English and Spanish

California Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
