JOB PURPOSE:

This position is open to undergraduate students.

Join us at the Graduate School campus to directly support students, staff, and faculty with technology used in classrooms. Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues with classroom technology and educational technology systems and software. Work with educational technologists to support curricular use of educational technologies used in a variety of multimedia assignments. Research and explore emerging educational technology such as artificial intelligence, 3D printing, interactive whiteboards, and XR.

Strong customer service experience preferred. Applicant should have an avid interest in technology and a strong desire to learn.
 

Experience with audio/visual technologies and video production a plus.
Will train.

Experience Gained: Customer service; interpersonal communications skills; phone and clerical skills; computer hardware and software troubleshooting; audio/visual equipment troubleshooting; knowledge of, and familiarity with, various high-end software programs.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Grad School IT Technician works closely with faculty, staff, and students to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues with classroom computer systems, institutional computers, and educational software, both in person and over the phone.

Additionally, the Grad School IT Technician will assist in creating written and video how-to documentation, assists with record keeping, and researching and exploring emerging educational technology. This includes the opportunity to work on various technology-related projects.

Projects that students have worked on in the past have included video production, virtual reality, 360° video, drone aerial surveying, website development, and 3D printing. ​

SCHEDULE:

Hours depend on staffing needs and availability. Shifts available from 9:00 AM – 7 PM M-F.

Saturday availability.

RATE OF PAY:

$15.45 - $17 hour DOE

Pell Grant and Work Study eligible strongly preferred
