The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting multiple full-time, fellowship-trained, Interventional Neurologist. Along with our current faculty in the Department of Neurological Surgery, this new faculty member will manage and build upon our department’s thriving Neurosurgery Programs where we use the most current technologies available to care for our patients. These positions are an excellent opportunity to join an established high-volume practice. Position Status Full Time Posting Number 24FA0150 Posting Open Date 02/09/2024 Posting Close Date Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience MD Degree and board eligible or board certified in Neurosurgery Certifications/Licenses Candidate must possess a valid NJ Medical License, CDS and DEA Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidate must demonstrate excellence as a clinician educator Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Overview The Department of Neurosurgery houses the only allopathic Neurosurgery Residency Training Program in New Jersey and collaborates with an extensive array of health care providers across the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences units. These well-qualified new faculty members will manage and build upon a thriving academic department at the Assistant/Associate, and/or Professor rank. Rutgers has a residency program, a vast campus community, and clinical centers at New Jersey Medical School in Newark and at Cooperman Barnabas in Livingston. Across our many campuses, there is a wealth of clinical material with basic and translational research opportunities along with educational avenues for training medical students and residents. The candidates will be expected to contribute to clinical and educational activities with an emphasis on mentoring students and trainees. Prospective applicants interested in basic research will also be granted protected time to develop lab interests and acquire extramural funding.
