Position Summary

/ Career Interest:The phlebotomist collects blood, and other samples, from patients for analysis. Assists Laboratory personnel and Medical Staff in obtaining blood specimens from hospital inpatients, outpatients, Emergency Care patients and Nursing Home patients. Also to assist Laboratory personnel with general laboratory functions. Phlebotomist is at risk of exposure to blood born diseases, universal precautions required.

Responsibilities:

Collect blood and other samples from hospital inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients. Perform office duties such as basic computer use, answering phones and faxing. PRN position, Monday-Friday, day shift only
