Job Description
Patient Care :
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the Clinic and/or Long Term Care setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing, approved protocols, and national standards of practice as directed by the physician preceptor.Patient Education: Provides patients and/or family members with education related to the disease process, health, and wellness Serves as a resource for community agencies as appropriate
Documentation: Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed
Continuing Education: Ensures clinical competence Stays abreast of changes in medical management Participates in a variety of health care education activities
Requirements: Masters Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate Degree preferred Licensed in State as a Nurse Practitioner; required Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as an RN preferred Excellent written and verbal communication required Maintains working knowledge of skills and current technology; required Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics, required
