Overview:

As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial direction and modernizing the finance function to align with the demands of a modern digital media company. You will lead the accounting team, driving operational excellence and enabling strategic financial decision-making. This position is ideal for a dynamic leader who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about achieving financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal controls. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships effectively to optimize financial resources and support strategic initiatives. Drive tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities, collaborating closely with external tax advisors/ Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations, leveraging technology and data analytics. Oversee pension accounting activities, including reporting and compliance, staying abreast of pension plan regulations and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Proven experience of 10+ years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a digital media or technology-driven environment. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, with experience in pension accounting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and develop innovative solutions to achieve business goals. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems (, Microsoft Dynamics), Excel, and data modeling software, to support efficient financial operations and analysis.
