Department Overview
The Sterile Processing Department at Children's Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis performs multiple functions that can be grouped under the following headings: decontamination; instruments and tray assembly; Preparation, Packaging, and Sterilization; Case Carts Assembly; Ad Hoc Dispensing of Patient Care Supplies; and Equipment Reprocessing, Tracking, and Dispensing.
Position Summary
The Sterile Processing/Anesthesia Tech has job responsibilities in both the Sterile Processing areas and operating rooms. Incumbent performs tasks associated with the reprocessing of reusable instruments, supplies, and equipment. Performs inventory management tasks involving reprocessed and single use equipment and supplies to all departments. The Sterile Processing Anesthesia Tech supports the mission of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in the care and treatment of patients following established customer service, family centered care, resource utilization and infection control standards.
One year of Central/Sterile Processing experience and/or graduate of Central/Sterile Processing Technical College program.
Physical Demands
