Job Summary

As an  Embroidery Operator at Galls  you will be responsible for ensuring Value-Added Services (VAS) are applied to garments accurately, on time, and in accordance with Galls high-quality standards. You will work cross-functionally to perform various duties, including but not limited to garment prep, sewing, emblem application, embroidery, auditing, engraving, heat press application, etc. Associates utilize several pieces of industrial machinery including embroidery equipment, sewing, engraving, and heat press machines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Read and accurately identify the customer’s needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to problem solve individual sizing issues
• Perform uniform sewing, alternations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

WHAT YOU BRING
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in Alterations
• Well-versed on industrial Sewing machines
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused – you’re not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation
