Position Summary

A sewing Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the sewing equipment along with quality control fitting of fabric in frames and fulfillment duties.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Setup, operate, and run sewing machines upon written instructions provided Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines Read and understand job tickets Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses or accidents immediately. Perform routine maintenance on the machines Work with frames to fit fabric samples for quality control Fulfillment work and packing fabric and materials to be shipped out Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a sewing operator Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed Experience on Impulsa and Juki sewing machines is a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as manufacturing sewing machines, presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and see.
