Description
The facilities management team consists of several specialized groups to meet the needs of Emory Healthcare Facilities. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic IV to support and oversee equipment, patient care, and sustainability.
Shift Time: 11pm-7:30am
Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities and has a proven competency in three of the following areas; electrical/wiring, mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing/pipefitting or pneumatic tube station repairs. Is responsible for operating and maintaining specific equipment, conducting surveys and inventories, performing preventive maintenance activities, responding to customer complaints, and repairing equipment. Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks. Patches holes, installs escutcheons, repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance. Makes minor masonry and wood repairs. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics and written technical documents of general machineries to locate area of trouble and complete repairs accurately.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 9 years experience in building maintenance. Working knowledge in their area of competency of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Plant operations, structural, or general carpentry. May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
