Experienced Pastry Chef

We are looking for a team-oriented and well-qualified pastry chef to join our in-store bakery and café.  A Proper Garden is a unique and high-end garden and home lifestyle store with a European influence. Our in-store bakery and café is a complement the customer experience and upbeat atmosphere offered within the store.

We are looking for a positive and upbeat person to join the team.  Your focus will be on creating wonderfully delicious pastries and various seasonal baked goods, as well as assisting with a simple plant-focused savory menu.  We have an open concept kitchen and support interaction with customers.  The café is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

This is an incredible opportunity for someone with a passion for food and who enjoys interacting with people to showcase their talent. You will have wide latitude within this position to produce creative and high-quality products. We believe in using the best quality ingredients and offering an above-average customer experience.  While demonstrating your culinary abilities you will enjoy praise and feedback from clients.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience in the production of high-quality baked goods, pastries, desserts, and other culinary products while being able to achieve consistent production quantities for sale.
