Zurich is currently hiring a Claims Specialists I to join their Auto Claims Team. This is a great opportunity to advance your career in claims by interpreting, investigating and evaluating auto policies and coverage issues, as well as claims handling and best practices. At this level, you will manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses. This position will handle both comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage claims. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices. As part of Zurich North America’s commitment to service excellence, you will build partnerships with customers and brokers.

Basic Qualifications:

Juris Doctor and 1 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
OR

1 or more years in the Claims Foundational Training Program
OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
OR

Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
OR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
AND

Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)

Customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Insurance industry, terminology

Analytical and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task

Strong communication skills

Adapt to a changing environment
