Job Overview

We are currently looking for 1st Shift CNC Machine Operators to join our team at our Haworth Big Rapids Wood Plant. These positions vary in pay. Pay rate will be determined by your level of expereince and skillset.  

 

As a Machine Operator, you will:

  • Operate assigned production machinery in accordance with company standards to complete customer orders.

 

Regular hours, M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm, w/ OT until 4:30pm and Saturdays, as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • 8th grade education or higher
  • The ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance
  • The ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs with assistance
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior machine operator experience specifically Wood CNC and Edge Bander experience 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Computer experience, including keyboard/mouse skills
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as measuring gauges (calipers and micrometers) and tape measures
Major Responsibilities
  • Accesses electronic production system to determine daily schedule.
  • Verifies parts received against pick tickets for accurate counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging. Monitors material flow and updates electronic production system accordingly.
  • Selects the appropriate machine settings or program according to specifications.
  • Sets up and operates machine. Makes minor machine adjustments. May make simple repairs.
  • Performs change-overs (adjusts tooling or tolerances, selects programs, etc.).
  • Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.
  • May be required to operate a powered industrial truck and/or overhead lift system.
