Description

The Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases (ARCND) and the Translational Neuroimmunology Research Center (TNRC), affiliated with the Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, are pioneering research in multiple sclerosis (MS). The ARCND & TNRC are leading institutions in bench to bedside translational research, serving the patients afflicted by debilitating neurodegenerative diseases in our neuroscience clinics within the same building. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Coordinator to aid our Multiple Sclerosis Center on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and updating research study information and other relevant data into our electronic database system. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of research information, contributing to efficient and accurate data analysis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Input and update research subject information, medical history, and treatment records into Oracle. Verify and ensure the accuracy of data entered, promptly identifying and correcting any discrepancies. Organize and maintain electronic and paper documents according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to obtain additional information or clarify data as needed. Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations in handling patient information. Follow established procedures and workflows to ensure efficient data management and retrieval.

Qualifications

At least two years of experience in a research or medical setting. SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Proficiency in using the Oracle database and familiarity with medical terminology. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
