The Oxbow Hotel is hiring a Night Auditor to work 11 pm-7 am two days/week. The Night Auditor is an integral part of the Front Desk department providing excellent guest service. This position is part-time, and the pay rate is $17/hr.

Education & Experience Required:

GED or High School diploma required.At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.

Education & Experience Preferred:

Previous Hospitality experience.Previous Front Desk experience.

Essential Duties:

Always maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.Performing the Night Audit process and ensuring it is completed correctly and the Daily Reports from it are sent to the General Manager, Director of Finance, and Operations Manager.Maintain a balanced bank assigned by the Hotel. Make changes and ring in merchandise with accuracy. Reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift (retail nook, bike rentals, guest rooms, etc.).Conduct perimeter checks when available to ensure all doors are locked. View the camera feed to verify there are no unwanted visitors.Adhere to food safety standards when handling breakfast items for guests.Work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends (3/month), and holidays.Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls: answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, happenings at the hotel, special requests, and parking.Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner.Handle room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.Handle all guest interactions in a friendly and professional manner, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, parking, etc.Cancel room reservations according to hotel policy and procedure.Follow company safety standards, always.Maintain strict guest confidentiality.Be available and present when guests approach, no sitting on chairs.Adhere to all company policies (cell phone, purchase, dress code specifically).Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guests will be in person, via email, and by phone.Handle lost and found items from guest rooms (coding, tracking, storing, and distributing).Maintain a neat and tidy appearance in the hotel Lobby, hallways, gallery, and front entrance (outside): vacuuming/sweeping/mopping when guest traffic is minimal.Maintain coffee/water/tea station as needed throughout the entirety of the shift.Restocking gift shop and front desk items as needed: following up with the Front Desk Manager when items are low.Other tasks as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor/Manager.
