RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Chemist must adhere to company standards and work independently completing product development projects from inception to completion (Published formula)
  • Monitor quality and conformity of formulas.
  • Must handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must investigate and research issues, should there be any.
  • The Chemist must develop formulas; perform product stability on all formulas with cosmetic/ skincare knowledge of shade matching (such as foundations, lipsticks, powder etc.).
  • Must meet launch deadlines, with support from supervisor as needed.
  • Identify raw materials and technologies suitable for product development.
  • The Chemist must provide technical support groups including marketing, product development, analytical testing facilities, process development and manufacturing.
  • Manage and train Lab Technicians

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The Chemist must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a related field of Science.
  • Must have a minimum of 3+years of work experience in Cosmetic Development/Manufacturing background.
  • Must have training and coaching experience.
  • The Chemist must have knowledge of product innovation and development processes.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of IT and R&I laboratory systems.

Salary: $45K-$60K annually, depending on experience.
