Job Description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving product or materials in a production or warehouse environment using powered tools and vehicles. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Operate industrial vehicles and equipment to transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area
  • •Load and unload trailers and/or route trucks
  • •Move product and/or materials manually as required
  • •Assist with shipping and receiving functions as directed
  • •Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of general work experience required
  • Forklift certification required
  • 1+ years of prior warehouse, stocking and/or forklift experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to lift, carry and position product weighing up to 50 pounds above shoulder height without assistance
  • Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
