Document ingestion is a top priority for Chubb and we are looking for an innovative, results-oriented Senior Data Visualization Engineer to lead the development of a comprehensive suite of business intelligence dashboards tailored for machine learning model outputs, telemetry, monitoring, and performance reporting for both data and model operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leveraging the latest cloud-based business intelligence tools, particularly on Microsoft Azure and Google Stack, to provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making across the organization.

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and business focused Senior Data Visualization Engineer to join our Document AI and Engineering leadership team. The candidate should have a strong technical background in cloud platforms and cloud data domains, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and be an exceptionally analytical and structured thinker. 

The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical guidance on Document classification, extraction, enrichment analytics and business Intelligence projects as well as production support. Also partner with analytics architects, data analysts, developers, modelers, and testers to manage all technical aspects of projects. Critical to this role is an understanding of modern data-driven application architecture, data analytics and engineering and Cloud platforms.

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in helping data engineering teams in their cloud data engineering journey, developing roadmaps and blueprints for cloud data engineering adoption, and leading a team of technical cloud architects. The successful candidate must be a hands-on person with proven ability to engage in innovative technology environments that embrace machine learning and AI as well as public cloud, open-source technologies and agile environments for document classification, ingestion, enrichment workflows. 

The successful candidate should have superb data engineering, BI visualization, cloud architecture, business and communication skills to be able to work with functional leaders to define and prioritize key data visualization dashboards and interactive dashboards and client server applications.

Requirements

The Senior Data Visualization Engineer must have a demonstrated track record of delivering results in a matrixed environment with a focus on Data Engineering and visualization. Given Chubb’s global presence, the individual must also possess strong collaboration, partnership, and negotiation skills with an orientation towards driving tangible business results. This individual must also serve as a change agent and drive the engineering process of modernizing our document ingestion dashboards to meet the emerging needs of the Company.

Lead data visualization opportunity grooming to implementation by leading business conversations, building document classification, extraction, enrichment and visualization solution designs and visualization products. Build and maintain data visualization architecture artifacts, design processes and best practices, provide technical oversight to visualization engineers. Prototype solutions and develop proof-of-concept. Lead the design, development, and implementation of a suite of business intelligence dashboards to visualize machine learning model outputs, telemetry data, monitoring metrics, and performance reporting for data and model operations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective visualizations. Utilize advanced data visualization techniques and best practices to present complex data and insights in a clear, intuitive, and actionable manner. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data visualization tools, techniques, and technologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure and Google Stack ecosystems. Champion data visualization best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across all dashboards. Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to junior members of the data visualization team. Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of dashboards within the cloud environment. Conduct performance optimization and troubleshooting to enhance the speed, scalability, and reliability of the dashboards.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Advanced Degree in Applied Sciences (Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, preferred. Minimum of five (5) years in designing, developing, and implementing complex business intelligence dashboards and visualizations. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing visualization dashboard solutions at scale. Proven experience with large scale distributed & cloud-based technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, Databricks, Containers, Snowflake, Splunk, Elastic, and Hadoop. Large-scale data engineering and coding experience in Python, Angular etc. Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-based business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or equivalent. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Google Stack technologies, particularly Azure Data Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Dataflow, etc. Experience with SQL, ETL technologies and data visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau. Experience with using DevOps, continuous integration, and automated testing with related tooling for delivery. Experience in designing or using micro-services and API-based architectures. Familiarity with multi-tier application architectures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
