EEG Technician

Job Summary

In a career as an EEG Technician, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will perform EEG (routine & long-term) studies on patients. Assist with obtaining relevant medical history, activating/recording based on clinical symptoms, and formulates technical descriptive impressions. Perform general office and reception duties as deemed necessary.

Schedule Full-Time, Three shifts assigned randomly 700 AM-330 PM, 730 AM-400 PM, 800 AM-430 PM, positions requires taking on-call

Location West Hospital

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Performs and documents EEG neurodiagnostic studies in accordance with national standards and Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) policies and procedures. Utilizes the hospital information system/network to complete duties and tasks. Consistently completes paperwork, maintains files and processes information necessary for optimal service and physician interpretation. Demonstrates work practices consistent with BTNRH and department specific safety, security and infection control policies. Maintains a high level of profession expertise and excellence in the field as demonstrated by membership in professional societies, continuing education, or other actions resulting in update of current knowledge. Uses professional judgement to problem-solve and knows when to involve Neurodiagnostic Services Manager for assistance or support. Demonstrates initiative and motivation to seek out ways to effectively complete assignments and responsibilities. Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Takes ownership of the area to resolve issues or concerns. Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served .

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of EEG experience required. BLS/ CPR certification required.
