Adult Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician

Summit Health is seeking an integrated Behavioral Health Clinician/Behavioral Health Consultant to provide assessments, interventions, and navigation to an adult primary care population in Westchester and Yonkers. The candidate will become part of a team consisting of physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians and psychiatrists focused on quickly providing help to patients and support to medical staff working to care for all aspects of their patients’ needs. We employ high level Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat a wide variety of patient conditions including depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, health anxiety and more. We offer intensive clinical supervision and education to help our clinicians become highly competent in CBT and certified, if desired.

High level CBT training Weekly supervision with a senior certified CBT therapist Weekly case conferences Collaborative working relationship with referring physicians and specialists Supportive working environment $1,500 annually for continuing education training Opportunities to engage in dept and companywide projects Year-end bonus potentialCandidates must have knowledge of evidence-based treatments for common mental disorders, familiarity with brief, structured intervention techniques (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation) and a desire to become skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Experience working with patients who have co-occurring mental health and physical health problems preferred. Knowledge of community resources required.
Education and Licensure:
Master’s Degree required. Doctorate degree preferred. 3 years’ experience at the Master’s degree level, 5 years’ preferred; 1 year experience required at the Doctorate level, 3 years’ preferred. New York State Licensure in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Psychology required (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC). 3+ years’ experience treating a primary care population.
