AAM is seeking candidates that are passionate about automotive engineering & design, excel academically, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Candidates must also be able to present evidence of academic excellence.
Job Description
Participate in R&D activities and support such activities for strategic product development initiatives that might give AAM an edge in the global market. Participate in leading engineering design projects which include assisting in the design, development, and validation process with the lead engineer Support product benchmarking analysis by disassembling automotive drive train components, weighing and measuring components, and coordinating a metallurgical analysis of the components. Assist with engineering calculations related to the design of automotive drive train components. Coordination of prototype builds to meet delivery schedules. Manages time to accomplish results including project planning, cost, and timing details Acquires knowledge of the department and its operations. Other tasks as assignedRequired Skills and Education
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program with a graduation date of April 2025 or later. Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy of information.
